About Us History Progressive Residents of Delray, PROD, was organized in 1984 by five forward-thinking, progressive, and civic-minded residents in order to provide representation for Delray citizens with their governing bodies. Prod membership includes residents, from the beach to the western city limits, and is the city's largest civic organization. Mission Statement PROD’s bylaws mandate that it be non-profit. The mission is clear – to act on behalf of Delray’s citizens as a liaison to city, county and state officials. It is literally a “watch dog” organization. Since its inception, PROD has supported orderly growth and improvement in the city while discouraging decisions by government officials that would not be in the interests of the majority of Delray Beach residents. Maintaining the "VILLAGE BY THE SEA" atmosphere is a primary goal. Membership Membership: Delray residents are full voting members with annual dues of $12. For residents of other cities and areas, there is an associate Membership available at $12 annually, but there are no voting rights. All Delray residents are invited to participate in various committees and serve on the board of directors, both are vital to PROD's ability to function on behalf of the city's residents.
