R.A.C.E. Relations Community Forum - December 9, 2009 Posted on Thursday, December 03 @ 10:56:43 CST by tchadmin December 2, 2009: The City of Delray Beach will hold its 2nd R.A.C.E. Relations Community Forum on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at 6:00 p.m., to complete the discussion and development of priorities on the City's R.A.C.E. initiative. All residents and interested parties are welcome to attend. The meeting will be held at the Old School Square's Crest Theatre, located at 51 North Swinton Avenue. R.A.C.E. - which stands for Relationships between Authorities, Citizens and Experts - is an initiative developed by City leaders in 2004 to engage the community in a proactive discussion on social and economic aspects that affect the quality of life for the City at large. The meeting will consist of a structured forum designed to gather input from community stakeholders that are in attendance on several issues, including economic development, housing, environmental sustainability, accountability and transparency and inclusion/representation. This will be a follow-up to the most recent R.A.C.E. Relations Community Forum, held in October 2009. This meeting will continue to develop upon the identified community issues that were previously ranked and prioritized.
